Sebastian Salazar, an anchor and reporter for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, has been named to NBC Sports’ crew covering the U.S. women’s soccer team at the Olympics this summer, the Insider has learned.

Salazar, a Bethesda, Md., native, will serve as the on-site reporter and handle pregame and postgame interviews, as well as off-day stories.

Arlo White, NBC Sports’ lead voice on the Premier League for three seasons, and former national team defender Kate Markgraf will call the U.S. matches in Brazil, where the Americans will pursue a fourth consecutive gold medal and fifth overall.

A formal announcement is expected Thursday.
