Atletico Madrid advanced to the UEFA Champions League final for the second time in three years Tuesday, edging five-time winner Bayern Munich on away goals after losing the second leg of the semifinals in Germany.
Bayern won the match, 2-1, for a 2-2 aggregate score, but Atletico held the away-goal advantage (1-0).
Atleti, which won the second-tier Europa League in 2010 and ’12, will face Real Madrid or Manchester City in the May 28 championship match at San Siro in Milan. After a 0-0 away draw last week, Real will host the English side in the second leg Wednesday (2:45 p.
