BALTIMORE — As MLS decision-makers began descending on Charm City for the MLS draft Thursday — one in which a Georgetown Hoya might go first overall — D.C. United officials were keeping tabs on their star goalkeeper in a Los Angeles surgery center.
Bill Hamid underwent a knee operation Wednesday to repair meniscus issues that he said have “plagued me the past year.”
No other details were immediately available.
Hamid had a knee procedure last summer, as well. It’s believed to be the same knee.
Unless more serious problems were discovered, Hamid would probably miss about a month.
