D.C. United reached a construction milestone at Audi Field on Friday with the installation of the last steel beam. A few hundred fans and staff attended the ceremony at the bustling Buzzard Point plot in Southwest D.C., two diagonal blocks from Nationals Park.
While the festivities unfolded, two other important matters remained works in progress: Ben Olsen’s roster and the location of one of the two home games before the new stadium opens July 14.
