During rough patches, when goals are in short supply and rhythm is off, D.C. United Coach Ben Olsen could always count on his team’s spirit and perseverance to carry the day.
Amid a 2-4-4 start to this MLS season, however, Olsen has grown a bit concerned about those vital intangibles.
“We’ve got to do better with the chances, obviously,” he said of four scoreless performances and four one-game displays. “I would also like to see a little more urgency and character out of our group. It’s still about winning games; that’s what we are here for. Sometimes that takes more than soccer and the tactical things.
