D.C. United forward Alvaro Saborio has been called up to the Costa Rica national team for two World Cup Qualifying matches later this month, both against Jamaica. The games are March 25 and 29, which will cause Saborio to miss D.C.'s March 26 game against FC Dallas, but he would presumably be available for selection by the Black-and-Red for their road game April 2 at San Jose.
Saborio, who turns 34 on the same day of that first qualifier, has appeared in one of D.C.'s two MLS games thus far, as a substitute last week against the New England Revolution.
