The rumored departure of Alhaji Kamara from D.C. United has reached its conclusion. Altaawoun FC, of the Saudi Professional League, announced on Twitter this morning that they had signed Alhaji Kamara. The amount of the transfer fee, if any, is currently unknown at this time and is typically not released by MLS or its teams.
This ends the saga of Kamara, who had been signed by United after having not played for months due to a heart condition; United and MLS’s doctors eventually cleared Kamara for full participation. After scoring a goal in his first match with the team, he had primarily be sent to the Richmond Kickers to get him playing time.
