It’s been close to a year since Gio Reyna, the young U.S. soccer star, and Gregg Berhalter, coach of the U.S. men’s national team, had a falling out at the World Cup in Qatar.
But when the U.S. squad gathers in Nashville next week for training camp, Reyna and Berhalter will stand side by side for the first time since one of American soccer’s ugliest episodes — one that spilled into the public and led to an investigation into events 30 years ago.
On Thursday, Berhalter announced his 23-man roster for friendlies against Germany and Ghana.
