FRISCO -- To Stars coach Jim Montgomery, rookie defenseman Miro Heiskanen is like a superhero.
Sure, he's come into the NHL as a teenager and instantly become an All-Star and one of the team's best players. And he's impressed with his smooth skating and quick stick. But it's not those qualities that have Montgomery comparing Heiskanen to a comic book character.
It's how he's responded to spells of fatigue or stints of ineffectiveness.
"With Miro, he's like Superman, right?" Montgomery said after practice Wednesday. "Sometimes, it looks like a little piece of Kryptonite and then it's gone and he can fly around again.
