With third-paring regular Jordie Benn out for at least one week with a lower-body injury, the young defensemen of the Dallas Stars are finally getting the chance for a good long look.
The recall of Esa Lindell appears to be an interesting commentary on how the team views the trio of Jyrki Jokipakka, Patrik Nemeth and Jamie Oleksiak. After all, Benn's injury and a recall of Oleksiak from his conditioning assignment in the AHL would leave the team with a full set of seven and some playing time to go around.
