The newest member of the Dallas Stars organization is dual winger Jermaine Loewen. He was selected 199th overall in the seventh and final round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Loewen was born in Mandeville, Jamaica and has played with the Kamloops Blazers since the 2014-2015 season. He scored 36 goals, 28 assists, and 64 points in 66 games during the 2017-2018 season. At 6’4” and 220 pounds, he’s one of the bigger wingers to be picked by the Stars during this draft. His size works as an advantage for physical play and controlling the play in fast-paced play.
