TAMPA, Fla. -- With about seven minutes left in the first period of the Stars' 6-0 loss to Tampa Bay on Thursday night, Landon Bow strapped on his glove, traded his black and white hat for his goalie mask, and his spot on the Dallas bench for one in the crease. Bow was tasked with standing in front of the speeding Lightning offense, trying to salvage a three-goal deficit after starter Anton Khudobin was blitzed for a pair of goals 14 seconds apart.
It was an unfamiliar sight on an unfortunate night: The Stars goaltending and defense had forsaken them.
