Tired, frustrated and on the brink of playoff elimination, poor special teams and late-period goals doom Stars again

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Stars' season was wrapped up in a two-minute stretch late in the second period of a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

With Dallas making a push to try to tie the game, defenseman John Klingberg hit the post with a loud clang. Then, as Minnesota tried to counter-attack, Klingberg hooked Zach Parise to put the Wild on a power play.

But the scrappy Stars looked to turn their bad luck to good as leading scorers Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn raced up ice on a shorthanded rush. Seguin missed the net, and the Wild scored a power play goal with 10.
