One night after finding another gear in the third period with a pair of shorthanded goals, Texas fell short on a repeat comeback performance tonight, falling 6-3 in Coachella Valley. The Stars did manage a pair of goals in the early third frame but were further back this evening to start, beginning to last period at a 5-1 deficit.
It was Remi Poirier's first pull in the AHL as he stopped 9 of 14 and dropped his record to 4-2-1 with the regulation loss. Dylan Wells came in for mop-up duty, stopping a final six shots.
