Right from day one, Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin have enjoyed incredible scoring success in Dallas. For the three seasons that they have played together, they have been the most potent one-two punch in the NHL, and now have the Dallas Stars atop the Western Conference standings.
The full extent of their success was impossible to predict. Before Seguin was acquired from Boston by Stars GM Jim Nill on July 4, 2013, both players were scoring around 0.75 points per game. Even though they were still young, did anyone expect that their scoring would improve by more than 30 percent, placing them well ahead of the more famous duos in Anaheim, Pittsburgh, and Washington?
