On the front end of a 3-in-3 in Illinois, the Texas Stars couldn’t pick up any points in a 4-2 loss to the Rockford IceHogs.
Less than five minutes into the contest, the Stars were chasing the game as John Quenneville feathered a prayer through traffic from the point that Landon Bow never saw. Bow finished the game with 23 saves on 26 shots.
Texas wasn’t necessarily listless on offense. They fired 35 shots on Rockford netminder Collin Delia but only found twine once twelve and a half minutes into the first period, a game-tying goal from Josh Melnick on the rush.
