The Texas Stars lost their fourth straight game on Monday in a 5-3 defeat to the Tucson Roadrunners. All four losses have come on the road, and that makes seven straight in their current skid away from Cedar Park.
The calvary came for the Stars in the form of a conditioning assignment to help them break the cycle. The assignment netted them Roope Hintz, Denis Gurianov, and Connor Carrick, giving them the means to ice perhaps the deepest lineup they’ve had since opening night. There was an expected scoring boost, but the results were just as vexing as the previous road losses.
