The Texas Stars have made a trade to attempt to shake up their eleven-game losing streak. Texas has acquired center Anthony Louis from Charlotte in exchange for future considerations. Louis is a third year pro. He played two years in Rockford, collecting 78 points in 144 games. That cumulative total led all IceHogs during the two season stretch. He's hit a cold streak in North Carolina though with just one goal in eight games.
This is a future considerations trade, which usually amounts to nothing in the AHL. Louis is on an AHL contract signed in the offseason after he was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Blackhawks.
