They needed a shootout to do it, but the Stars got their first victory of the season tonight in Iowa. Thanks to a masterful 35 save performance from Landon Bow, Texas earned a W and put their record at 1-2-1 after four games. Bow was smothering this evening and a bit lucky to boot. Late in the second period, he saw a Wild goal waved off for goalie interference.
The Stars had every chance to win this game in regulation and even more in OT thanks to a total of nine power plays, none of which would go for Texas.
