Stars Turn up the Heat in Frigid Winnipeg, Topping Moose 4-2

Looking to avenge their 4-2 loss on Wednesday night, the Texas Stars (27-15-3) returned to the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg on Friday night for their second game against the Manitoba Moose (14-27-1-1). Texas skated away with a 4-2 come-from-behind victory after going down 2-0 early.

In front of a crowd of 2,285, Manitoba wasted no time in taking an early 1-0 lead with a goal by Moose center Ben King, his ninth goal of the season. With just over three minutes left in the period, Texas defenseman Alex Petrovic would find himself in the penalty box, charged with a holding penalty and giving the Moose their first power play opportunity of the evening.
