The Stars' third period Tuesday defied all logic.
And maybe that's exactly what they needed.
In a season that has been illogical, this might be the perfect turning point.
Facing the stingiest third period team in the NHL, Dallas rallied for five goals against the Anaheim Ducks and took a 6-2 win at American Airlines Center. It was an incredible response to a significant challenge to start maybe the most important homestand of the season.
"We all realize where we are in the standings and how we've been playing." said Stars captain Jamie Benn. "We see this homestand as a big one for us, it could be make or break.
