The Texas Stars (24-14-1-0) fell to the Milwaukee Admirals 2-1 at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. With the loss, the Stars' ten-game away win streak came to an end. It was the longest road win streak in team history and was just three victories shy from the AHL record.
The first period ended with neither team getting on the scoring sheet. It was an evenly played period with both teams rolling four lines and playing a well-disciplined game. There were only two penalties with each team failing to capitalize on the man advantage.
Though not getting a goal, the Stars fourth line of Chase Wheatcroft-Jack Becker-Kyle McDonald applied consistent pressure and was very effective against Milwaukee.
