Winless in their last three tries and without a victory since December 18th, the Texas Stars collected two points by the thinnest of margins in Charlotte. The 6-5 game was the lightest attended game the Stars are likely to play this season as North Carolina was buffeted by a winter storm and fewer than 500 souls braved the cold to take in the contest in the relative warmth of the Bojangles Coliseum.
It was a moral victory and an actual one after Texas had been outscored 8-3 yesterday and 17-8 since their COVID pause ended. Matt Jurusik collected the win in this one, his first victory for the Stars, halting 27 shots of 32 against him.
