Kari Lehtonen has always been philosophical about the NHL's use of replay.
"I just want them to get it right," said the Stars goalie.
Lehtonen and coach Lindy Ruff felt the NHL didn't get it right Thursday, when Dallas challenged an overtime goal by the Los Angeles Kings for goaltender interference, and replay officials said they didn't see an infraction. When the replay was slowed down from the overhead shot, the elbow of Kings forward Tanner Pearson clearly brushed Lehtonen's mask and moved his head as a shot from Alec Martinez approached the net, and Lehtonen clearly was distracted from trying to stop the puck.
