For the fifth time in seven games, the Minnesota Wild coughed up at least a two-goal lead Tuesday night.
But in the end, the Wild was able to snag two points anyway after Chris Stewart scored to cap a five-round shootout and 3-2 Minnesota victory over the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.
Stewart moved the puck to his backhand and slid the puck in under Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen, who got a piece of it. It was Stewart’s ninth career shootout goal.
Patrick Eaves and Jamie Benn had scored for the Stars in the shootout, but Jason Pominville and Mikko Koivu matched them.
