The Stars power play, once so prolific, has gone missing.
During Monday night's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jackets, the Stars went 0-for-4 on the power play and mustered just one shot on goal. Despite having the man advantage, the Stars allowed three shorthanded shots on goal from Columbus.
"We lost special teams," Stars forward Jason Spezza said. "Our power play just wasn't good enough. If our power play's better, we probably leave there getting it in the extra time and seeing where it goes from there. It's frustrating."
After beginning the season on a blistering pace, the Stars power play has tapered off.
