During the first period of their 3-2 win over San Jose on Friday night, the Stars were, well, missing.
Dallas notched only five shots on goal and nine shot attempts during the opening 20 minutes in which they relied on goaltender Ben Bishop to make 12 saves. The Stars power play also did not get a shot on goal during their first-period opportunity.
The Stars rebounded in the final two periods, putting 25 shots on net and erasing a one-goal deficit to earn their fourth straight victory, a season-high.
"We found a pulse," Stars coach Jim Montgomery said.
