VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Stars missed a chance to clinch a playoff spot on Saturday night, losing to Vancouver 3-2 in a shootout to snap a seven-game road winning streak.
Dallas went seven points up on ninth-place Arizona for a playoff spot in the Western Conference and can still clinch a postseason spot Sunday night if Minnesota beats the Coyotes. Andrew Cogliano and Alexander Radulov scored for the Stars and Anton Khudobin made 29 saves.
Markus Granlund scored the game-winner for Vancouver in the eighth round of the shootout.
The Stars fell behind 2-0 in the first period after goals from Tim Schaller and Sven Baertschi.
