The Texas Stars couldn't take advantage of a night that saw their power play score three times, losing to the lowly Milwaukee Admirals 5-3. The Admirals also clicked on sixty percent of their power play opportunities, scoring three times to go with their even strength goal and empty netter. Former Star Mark McNeill, who was moved to Milwaukee at the trade deadline, put a goal and an assist on the board against his former club.
Making his AHL debut on an amateur tryout agreement, power forward Joel L'Esperance recorded two shots on goal for the Stars.
