The Florida Panthers defeated the Dallas Stars, 4-3, in a shootout on Tuesday night. It was the third win of the preseason for the Panthers, who are 3-0-0, while the Stars preseason record sits at 0-0-2 with both games ending past regulation without a win.
“Obviously not the result we wanted,” Stars defenseman Ryan Suter said. “We kind of quit playing in the third period.”
Panthers forward Mason Marchment opened the scoring with a tipped shot from forward Owen Tippett on the power play at 3:20 of the first period to give Florida a 1-0 lead.
