Maybe the first thing you notice about the Stars’ Development Camp Roster is the six players from Texas and three from South Korea.
Hardly hockey hotbeds.
But the invites to players from non-traditional areas is part of Jim Nill’s vision of building culture within the organization. Basically, it’s just the right thing to do.
“We want this to be a hockey area, so we should do things to help make it a hockey area, and inviting local players to camp seems like a natural,” Nill said.
