Four games in; eight points. Hard to ask for a better start to the season. Sure, the two most recent victories were over the Detroit Red Wings, certainly not the best NHL competition. Nashville, on the other hand, is 4-1 outside of those loses to the Stars, so it’s not like they’re playing bad hockey.
Today’s game is the Stars’ first road game of the year, and it’s against one of the Central Division’s preseason favorites, the Carolina Hurricanes. Carolina is fresh off of a 1-0 victory in overtime over the Tampa Bay Lightning — no easy task.
