The Stars on Saturday selected four players in Rounds 2-7 at the NHL Draft in Sunrise, Fla.
The Stars traded their third round pick to Detroit as part of the Erik Cole trade last season (they received Detroit’s second-rounder in exchange), and traded their seventh round pick to San Jose for the rights to Antti Niemi on Saturday.
Here are the selections they made:
49th overall: Roope Hintz
Hintz (6-2, 190) is a versatile forward from Finland who can play center or left wing and has good hockey sense. Stars scouts really liked him and felt he had first round talent.
