Stars' first-round playoff opponent set after shutting out Wild in regular-season finale

On to Nashville.

The Stars set up a first-round matchup with the Predators by beating the Wild 3-0 on Saturday night, coupled with Nashville’s victory over Chicago that lifted it to the Central Division crown. Dallas secured the first wild card spot in the Western Conference with the win over Minnesota.

Tyler Seguin scored two goals in the third period, and Ben Bishop posted his career-high seventh shutout of the season by making 22 saves. Tyler Pitlick added an insurance goal with his eighth of the season. Seguin finished the regular season with 33 goals to lead the Stars.
