The Texas Stars squandered a must-win game against the league worst Cleveland Monsters, losing 6-5 in overtime. The Stars had a one goal lead in the first period and came back to tie at the end of regulation, but left with only one point in the standings with the season winding down. Alex Broadhurst and Nathan Gerbe both had three point games with Gerbe netting the game winner.
