Stars captain Jamie Benn was awarded the Art Ross Trophy as leading scorer in the NHL Wednesday at the NHL Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas and also was voted to the Second All-Star Team as left wing.
Benn is the first player in franchise history to win the Art Ross and becomes just the fourth player to be named to the Second All-Star Team. Benn became the first player in franchise history to be named to the First All-Star Team last season. He now joins Mike Modano (1999-2000), Derian Hatcher (2002-03) and Marty Turco (2002-03) as Stars players to land on the Second Team.
