During the regular season, when Stars coach Jim Montgomery wanted to generate instant offense, he reunited his top three on the No. 1 line. Now, in the second round of the playoffs, he'll try to do the opposite.
Before Wednesday night's Game 4 against the Blues, Montgomery broke up Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin and Alexander Radulov as a way to kickstart the team's lacking 5-on-5 offense against St. Louis. In the first three games of the series, the Stars were outscored 7-3 at 5-on-5.
On Wednesday night, the Stars used Jason Dickinson and Mats Zuccarello on the top line alongside Seguin, while Roope Hintz centered Benn and Radulov on the second line.
