Building a long winning streak on the road in the AHL is a tall task for most teams, especially considering how much the Texas Stars sputtered outside the state of Texas to begin the year. Once the calendar flipped to 2025, though, the Stars have done nothing but blaze a trail through their conference rivals. That trail reached 10 straight road games after a 4-3 win over the Iowa Wild to complete a weekend sweep Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
Looking at the statistics in 2025 one could quickly point to the Stars’ sizzling power play, which is operating at a hair under 40 percent in the new year, as the big reason for Texas’ dominance on the road.
