Jim Nill is in his fourth year as Stars general manager and made some significant moves over the summer, letting go of Alex Goligoski, Jason Demers, Kris Russell, Vernon Fiddler and Colton Sceviour, opening up spots for younger players to advance. The Stars currently have six forwards injured or ill, and that has led to a 6-6-4 start on the heels of last season's Central Division championship.
Nill talked with staff writer Mike Heika over the weekend in Vancouver about how the Stars are adapting to the injuries and what the plan is going forward:
