The Texas Stars continued their improved play on Sunday evening, picking up a point in the standings but fell to the Central division leading Milwaukee Admirals in overtime 2-1.
“Obviously, Milwaukee's a very good hockey club,” said head coach Derek Laxdal. “The homestand has been pretty good here so far going 3-1, on it and we just got to continue to keep on pushing trying to get some points here.”
Adam Mascherin, who had been a healthy scratch last week, took some motivation into the contest and got the Stars on the board in the third period when they were desperate for a game-tying tally.
