NEWARK, NJ -- The Stars season remains afloat, at least for another day.
Less than seven minutes away from being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention Sunday night at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, the Stars rallied behind power play goals from Ales Hemsky and Tyler Seguin for an exciting 2-1 overtime victory over the Devils.
"It's something we really haven't thought about in a while," goaltender Kari Lehtonen said of remaining alive, mathematically, in the Western Conference playoff race.
"We are focusing on playing one game at a time, and playing well."
Lehtonen continued to do his part.
