NEWARK, N.J. - The Stars have proven to be very good at even strength hockey this season, so games like Friday's that included 40 penalty minutes are quite challenging.
Dallas lost a 5-2 game to the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center as the hosts took advantage of some key penalties, and the Stars did not.
The end result was an end to the team's road resurgence and a missed chance at evening the record away from home. After starting this four-game road trip with wins against the Rangers and Islanders, Dallas is now 18-14-1 (37 points) and 8-10-1 on the road.
