After their preseason loss against the Florida Panthers yesterday, the Dallas Stars have trimmed down their NHL roster further, cutting ten skaters to bring the total roster size down to 34.
The most notable cuts were Stefan Noesen and Scottie Upshall, who were in Dallas on professional try-outs. Upshall looked well in his most recent preseason game against the Colorado Avalanche, and Nosen was a “feel good story” of a Plano, Texas native trying to make his hometown team.
Other players cut were Gavin Bayreuther, Emil Djuse, Tye Felhaber, Ben Gleason, Adam Mascherin, and Riley Tufte, all of whom were loaned to the Texas Stars.
