The 22-year-old center from Sweden, Mattias Janmark, has taken the Stars by storm in his first two games in the NHL. Having scored the first goal in each match-up Dallas has had, last Thursday night against the Penguins and last night against the Avalanche, he’s set the bar rather high.
Road to Dallas
Janmark was drafted in the 3rd round 79th overall back in 2013 by the Detroit Red Wings, a team known for their immensely strong drafting abilities. He was one of the two pieces, the other being defenseman Mattias Backman, that Dallas got in exchange for forward Erik Cole last March.
