During the postseason, Mats Zuccarello looked exactly like the player the Stars thought they were getting at the trade deadline.
"It's hard when you make a trade and bring a player in four weeks before the playoffs," general manager Jim Nill said Thursday as the Stars cleaned out their lockers, two days after a season-ending Game 7 double-overtime loss to St. Louis. "Sometimes they fit like a glove, sometimes they don't. He fit like a glove."
The question now is about the fit going forward with Zuccarello, 31, an unrestricted free agent after making $4.5 million this past season.
