After last night's game, Texas Stars head coach Derek Laxdal said that his team needed an effort from all twelve forwards and every facet of the lineup to get a victory. This afternoon in San Antonio, they got that with a hat trick from Adam Mascherin, Elgin Pearce and Brady Norrish's first goals of the season and multi-point nights for several other depth players. The final of 7-3 was a good salve for a tough overall weekend effort against the Rampage.
Mascherin's points this season have come in bunches, but tonight was the ultimate in bunching. The hat trick, with all three goals coming in the first period, was supplmented by an assist in the second for a four-point night for the rookie.
