Valeri Nichushkin is expected to sign a two-year contract with CSKA Moscow, the team announced on its website Tuesday, pretty much assuring that the 21-year-old winger won't be playing for the Stars in that span.

Dallas should be able to overcome the loss with an abundance of veteran skill players and a strong group of younger players pushing up, but the decision by Nichushkin does allow the franchise to look closer at its inner workings.
