Ken Hitchcock can pass New York Islanders coaching legend Al Arbour on the all-time coaching wins list with a victory over Nashville on Thursday.
And that makes him kind of sad.
"I don't feel good about it. I don't really know why, but I don't feel good," Hitchcock said. "I felt he was a special human being and a special coach. He was a guy that I could relate to, so it doesn't feel great, to be honest with you."
Arbour won four Stanley Cups with the Islanders, and Hitchcock said he doesn't want anyone to think the coaching wins milestone means more than it does.
