John Klingberg's offense looks a little different for the Stars early this season

NEWARK, N.J. -- John Klingberg has always been an offensive dynamo. Just not like this, he hasn't.

Klingberg, the Stars' top defenseman and Norris Trophy candidate, entered Tuesday night's game in New Jersey with four goals in Dallas' first five games, tied for the league lead among defensemen. Ottawa's Maxime Lajoie scored his fourth during the Senators' win over the Stars on Monday night.

Klingberg is often thought of the power-play magician with the elite vision to be one of the best passers in the league. Last season, he led all defensemen with 59 assists and ranked ninth among all skaters.
