The Stars did not make a trade before Monday afternoon’s trade deadline, standing pat after a busy weekend that included two trades and a month-long injury to a key acquisition.
Dallas will go forward in the season’s final 20 games of the season with their current roster, attempting to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16. The Stars entered Monday one point ahead of Minnesota for the first wild-card position and two points ahead of Colorado for the second wild-card position.
“We talked to a lot of teams, but unless it was something that was going to be a perfect fit, we made some pretty big moves the last two days and made prior moves all season,” Stars general manager Jim Nill said.
